What is Mission 50?
Mission 50 is a world record attempt in Miami Beach, Florida. Former pro tennis player and coach Sandra Alonso will play 50 consecutive singles matches against 50 different opponents from the South Florida community. The current record is 40 matches: match 41 breaks it, and match 50 completes the mission.
When and where is it happening?
Miami Beach, Florida, in 2027. The exact venue and dates are coming soon. Sign up for updates and you will be the first to know.
Can I watch in person?
Coming soon. We are working toward free, limited-capacity public viewing and will share details once the venue is confirmed.
Can I watch online?
Yes. The attempt will be livestreamed. The stream link is coming soon on the Event Schedule page.
How long will the attempt take?
Roughly two days of near-continuous play. Sandra earns five minutes of rest for every hour of play and can bank it for longer breaks. See the mock schedule for an estimate; real times will change.
How do I play a match against Sandra?
We need 50 opponents from the South Florida community. Sign up on the Volunteer page and choose “Play A Match.” Opponent requirements and match format are coming soon.

How can I volunteer?
Roles include court operations, production and video, setup and teardown, witnesses and timekeepers, ball kids and ball crew, and special skills like EMT or security. Sign up on the Volunteer page and tell us where you would like to help.
How will the record be verified?
Every match will be filmed continuously and tracked by independent witnesses and timekeepers, following the official record rules. Final requirements are coming soon.
